SUSS Alumni Relations

From civil engineer to educator, mother and entrepreneur, Cassia’s journey has never followed just one path.

Her deep appreciation of knowledge is intertwined with both her personal and professional journeys. 20 years after completing her first degree, she returned to SUSS to embark on another. Cassia’s time with us converged with both her kids’ PSLE years and the genesis of her new business in Chinese Cultural education. She took it all in stride while also volunteering at multiple SUSS events, including at this year’s SUSS Open House. She sees the evolution of her career as equally necessary for herself and for the holistic development of her children, and a platform to serve the wider community.

At SUSS, Cassia’s strong work ethic and selflessness earned her well-deserved recognition: including the Cortina Watch Gold Award as the top student in her cohort and the Dr Lillyn Teh SUSS RAISE Excellence Award for exemplary values. Still, she says, her children’s development remains the achievement she is proudest of; the guiding light throughout her journey in SUSS and beyond.
