A few things worth mentioning:

• This week is just one example from my current high-volume training block.
• During this phase, the focus is on training volume rather than intensity.
• I normally work 34–38 hours per week, usually spread across four days (Monday–Thursday).
• In general I have an office job (event marketing), but for some weeks I‘m out for trade fairs & events.
• Of course, all of this would be easier if I were a full-time professional athlete… but easy is boring, isn’t it? 😜

Running with a compass is definitely a whole different game 😅

Thanks for the cool introduction to this adventurous sport @reiner.matthias.running ☺️

👟… and the new S/LAB Genesis 2 also nailed this ultimate test. 👌 @salomon.dach

When I started competing in this sport in 2023, I would have never imagined that three years later I’d be standing on the start line of the biggest and most prestigious trail race in the world – in the Elite field.

Just being here already feels like a huge win. 🥺🤍

Who knows where this sport will take me next. I’m motivated, grateful and especially ready for tomorrow’s OCC.

The work is done. Now let’s see if it shows on race day. ⛰️🔥
