On this week's episode of the podcast: couples often struggle with gaps in their sex drives, but what does a couple do when one person has no desire for sex whatsoever?

A married couple came with this question: one of them has recently discovered that she's asexual, while the other craves sex as a primary form of connection. Is theirs an irreconcilable difference? Is there hope for their future, or should they accept that divorce is the only option before them?

I challenge their long-held assumptions about sexuality, and offer a third path forward. Comment PODCAST and I'll DM you a link to watch on YouTube or subscribe on Substack for bonus content.

I’m disappointed by (for the first time) by your advice here. You told both to abandon themselves for the sake of marriage. One deserves to be wanted, touched and made love to, and not just have her demands given in to. The other deserves to heal her trauma, come out of shutdown and return to full life; not to push past and override her aversion. Please post their follow up.
