Bruce Springsteen has a message for election officials on Election Day. The 77-year-old music icon and longtime political activist shared a brief video message on social media, urging “election officials and representatives of our government” to ensure votes are securely counted. “You have sworn an oath to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution," Springsteen said on Instagram. "That means you have a solemn duty to ensure that our votes are securely counted.” He continued, “Thomas Jefferson said, ‘Government requires a consent of the governed.’ You who represent us must never consent to any directives that undermine our constitutional right to a free and fair election.” See more at the link in bio.
