oh my sweet girl…where do i even start?! i cannot believe you’re one (+ a month today, oops)! this was truly the fastest year of my life.

if i’m being completely honest, i didn’t know how my heart could grow to love another human as much as i love your brother but boy was i so incredibly wrong! you came into this world and my heart grew exponentially bigger to fit you inside of it and it’s never been the same.

you are a dream come true and the answer to every prayer. my darling millie moon, you are living proof that sometimes the best dreams are the ones we couldn’t have even imagined for ourselves.

you have the sweetest, most easygoing disposition. our happy-go-lucky girl, always content to go along for the ride, but endlessly curious about the world around you. those big, blue eyes are constantly observing, exploring and taking it all in.

and oh, how you love your brother so fiercely. simply being in the same room as him brings you the purest joy. watching your love grow for one another has been one of the best gifts of motherhood.

you fit into our family so effortlessly, as though you were always here, and yet you’ve changed our world in the most beautiful way. i wish i could bottle up every moment of this first year, but what a privilege it is to watch you grow into the little girl God created you to be.
