Earlier this month, the IHSAA Executive Committee held their monthly meeting. Asst. Commissioner Robert Faulkens noted that football officiating crews are not working the state playoffs and, instead, are opting to work college games.

Overall, the IHSAA assessed 17 penalties, mostly warnings, to 17 schools. #indiana #ihsaa #highschoolsports #indianapolis #fortwayneindiana

Neighbors, students and community members gathered outside an East Austin home recently after a video of a heated confrontation between a Huston-Tillotson University student named Bri and a couple went viral.
__________________
In the video, Bri (briii.likethecheese) confronts the couple over claims that they had been leaving notes on students’ cars asking them to move from public street parking near the university.

The woman then responds, “We paid $1.5 million for our house, y’all’s graduation rates are 25%.” When Bri points out that the couple lives in a historically Black neighborhood, the woman responds, “This is our neighborhood!”

The confrontation has since sparked backlash, with students and community members gathering outside the home to protest. Some held signs reading, “You bought a house, not our history, East Austin is ours.”

The City of Austin’s Transportation and Public Works department confirmed that parking is allowed on those blocks, except in restricted areas such as intersections, corner clearances and driveways. 😠🎥: briii.likethecheese @thehealingprojectatx

UPDATE: Protestors got picked up from Sansad Marg. We're tracking a bus going to nowhere again.

Many women with endometriosis are told they can't take HRT, and that simply isn't true.

This week on my @drlouisenewsonpodcast, Nicola Roberts joined me to share her experience of living with endometriosis since her periods started at the age of 12. She was put on the pill at 13 and diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis at 25, and she then spent years on the Depo-Provera injection, which left her with low mood, body aches and osteoporosis by the age of 40.

Depo-Provera contains a synthetic progestogen that works by blocking the action of estradiol in the body and the brain, so it's a bit like giving someone a menopause straight off. Many of the women I see with endometriosis have low testosterone and low progesterone, and synthetic hormone treatments can lower these levels even further. Nicola now takes estradiol, progesterone and testosterone and told me she feels the best she has since she was 12, which shows how much women with endometriosis can gain when they are offered the right hormones.

Listen to the full conversation now via the link in my bio.
