I started yoga and surf around the same time, and this two have been my go to savers since!

Yoga at the time wasn’t as popular at all, at least not in Venezuela or that’s how i remember it, in fact it was kinda taboo for a man to be on that space, but over time it became more accepted. So funny I offended felt ashamed among. But I did it because I wanted to learn meditation, low key heal some late teen early 20s teenage break up haha. That definitely helped. but surrounded by women in their 50+ and men on their 65+ and all so much stronger and calmer during this hard cord physical and mental journey, I immediately knew there was so much more than cliché poses and chanting. This place was in a gym for retired and active professors of the campus of the University my parents worked!

Without much knowledge, or expectations became more interested, and invested in learning. So for my luck, later on I landed in the best yoga community I could ever imagine, walking distance from home, that now thinking back I was so lucky to have, amazing humans, many now incredible facilitators, we were guided by my dear and beautiful friend Judith Zanella, who I’m eternally grateful for all the knowledge and guidance. She has put so much work in service and forming community, she has a very close space in my 🫶🏽

Here I learn how to breathe move with ease and joy, but also mindfulness, intentions in our words and thoughts. she would also connect us to other amazing facilitators of a variety of workshops where I learn so much more and expanded immensely. received my Reiki attunement and became a Reiki practitioner, attuned by Alicia colina, Corina Tejeda and Jorge Acosta.

Forever changed, and so thankful. Yoga has always connected me with incredible communities, and I look forward for more 🙏
