Yes, 773 miles. Purchased new from Tubbs Brothers in Sandusky, Michigan, this Excursion spent nearly its entire life tucked away in a private automobile collection. According to the surviving business partner of the original owner, the two shared an unusual habit of purchasing brand-new vehicles and storing them inside their company warehouse rather than putting them into regular service. This Excursion was one of them. The original owner reportedly purchased it with approximately 408 miles and placed it into long-term storage near Toledo, Ohio. The collection was maintained over the years, with the vehicles stored indoors in a climate-controlled environment and started regularly. Following the owner’s passing, this Excursion was recently acquired from his estate alongside 19 other vehicles from the same family. More than 26 years later, it retains its original paint, original interior, factory configuration, and even the factory-installed tires. When Ford introduced the Excursion for 2000, subtlety wasn’t part of the equation.
