The man who tragically fell to his de@th from a roller coaster at #SixFlags Over Georgia has been identified as 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem of Atlanta.

According to 11Alive, police confirmed Kariem’s identity Tuesday morning (Oct. 13), one day after the fatal incident aboard the park’s #Goliath roller coaster. Witnesses claim Kariem struck the ride multiple times and collided with other passengers before landing on the roof of a haunted house attraction below. One rider, who said the incident occurred near the ride’s souvenir photo camera, recalled, “He was in our pictures.” As many as three other riders were reportedly injured, though their conditions remain unclear.

Kariem’s family described him as a passionate educator who loved #Atlanta and was dedicated to bringing families back together. Meanwhile, authorities are still working to determine what caused the de@dly fall. The Cobb County Police Department and Georgia’s Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire are both investigating.

#TheJasmineBrand sends its deepest condolences to Kariem’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. 🕊️
