"There is a certain kind of freedom that comes when you no longer need life to unfold exactly as you imagined.”

As we grow older, we begin to realize that not everything needs to go according to plan. Love, relationships, success, and even the future we once dreamed of may take a completely different direction.

Some experiences bring us joy, others teach us lessons we never expected to learn. Both have their place in shaping who we become.

I've come to realize that life is not something we can carefully arrange and expect to remain unchanged. People come and go, circumstances shift, and even our own desires evolve with time.

What once seemed so important may eventually lose its meaning, while something we never anticipated may turn out to be exactly what we needed.

And somewhere along the way, we begin to understand that life doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful. Sometimes, the most beautiful things happen when we leave room for the unexpected.

Perhaps growing wiser is not about knowing what lies ahead, but becoming comfortable with not knowing.

And still finding reasons to enjoy the journey. 🤍

Comment APP for the full program to help you build MASSIVE GLUTES 🍑🔥

Flat, upside-down HEART-shaped butt?

Ladies, if you’re raising your hand 🙋‍♀️ and frustrated AF trying to rebuild your glutes after a baby, this could give us awesome clues that you’re CLENCHING your butt more than you realize!

The shape of your glutes and the folds underneath your cheeks, sometimes more noticeable through those lines in your leggings, can give us a reason to look closer!

Shape alone doesn’t always confirm gripping. But if you’re ALSO catching yourself squeezing your cheeks while standing, washing dishes, holding baby, or doing absolutely nothing that requires a butt squeeze… let’s freaking talk!! 🤓🙌🏼

After pregnancy, your body may still be relying on some of the strategies it used to support you while growing baby. Such as hips more biased toward external rotation to create a nice stable base for you and baby. Cue the penguin waddle.

If your abs are also NOT contributing well to stability, SO common after they have been OVERLY lengthened, your glutes and the deep hip rotators in the back of your pelvis may step up as “that guy” by holding extra tension to help keep you stable. NO thank you 🙅🏻‍♀️

Clenching your butt ALL day isn’t the same as building strong glutes and will actually weaken them.

And jumping straight into MORE glute contractions isn’t always the answer and many times just comes with even more not-so-fun symptoms like pelvic floor tension.

We need to first learn how to LET GO and allow those muscles to lengthen under load as your hips move through internal rotation, before asking them to contract again. 🔥

Your glutes need to do BOTH: lengthen AND contract.

These exercises help you practice exactly that, and it may be the MISSING PIECE in getting your glutes working more efficiently so you can progressively load them.

Happy Booty Building!!

I don’t know what’s worse…

Settling uncomfortably with who you are right now, or never finding out who you could actually become if you decided to try.

“I’m in my prime.” ✨

The theme of @ocbchesapeakeclassic Masters Nationals, and a reminder I’m carrying with me far beyond the stage.

At 44, after 5 children, I’m standing in the best shape of my life. Not because it’s been easy, but because I kept showing up for a version of myself I hadn’t met yet.

I’m proud of the physique. Proud of the discipline. Proud of the woman this journey continues to shape.

But most of all, I’m grateful I never convinced myself that my best days were behind me.

Your prime isn’t a number. It’s not an age. And it certainly isn’t something you have to leave behind.

Last show of the season. Best physique of my life. And a heart full of gratitude for everything it took to get here. ❤️
