Democratic U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens faced backlash Sunday after endorsing Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race, including being heckled and called a “traitor” during a joint news conference with Rogers. A protester shouted, “Haley Stevens is a traitor!” as Stevens stood alongside Rogers. The news conference ended shortly afterward, just two days before Tuesday’s election. Earlier Sunday, Stevens attended a service at Detroit’s Perfecting Church with Rogers before publicly announcing her endorsement of the Republican candidate over Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who defeated her in August’s primary. President Donald Trump praised Stevens on Truth Social, describing her as a “Highly Respected Democrat” and commending her decision as an act of bravery. The endorsement also triggered turmoil within Stevens’ congressional office. Her longtime chief of staff resigned, along with her communications director, while additional staff departures were reported. Stevens had previously pledged to support El-Sayed but reversed course following a public dispute involving Israel and campaign messaging. Her decision comes as Michigan voters prepare to choose between Rogers and El-Sayed on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in a closely watched race for the U.S. Senate.

64 Katsina Students Hospitalised After Taking Worm Infection Medication; Teachers Allegedly B+at Sick Pupils For Faking Illness About 64 students of Government Science Secondary School, Batagarawa, Katsina State, have reportedly been hospitalised after developing complications following medication administered to treat a parasitic worm infection known as schistosomiasis, with allegations that some teachers b+at students they accused of pretending to be sick. According to a report by Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on October 26, 2026, after students reportedly developed symptoms including vomiting, dizziness and abdominal pain. Some were allegedly unconscious upon arrival at medical facilities. The affected students were taken to General Amadi Rimi Specialist Hospital in Batagarawa, Katsina General Hospital and Turai Yar’Adua Hospital for urgent medical attention. Beyond the reported health complications, some teachers were allegedly accused of physically a§§aulting students showing signs of illness, claiming they were being mischievous instead of seeking immediate medical assistance. The incident has raised concerns about student safety, medical supervision and the treatment of children during school-based health interventions. Zagazola Makama has called on the Katsina State Government, particularly the Ministries of Education and Health, to launch an immediate and independent investigation. Authorities were urged to establish the medication administered, its dosage, whether proper screening and medical supervision were provided, and whether approved procedures were followed. The report also called for a separate investigation into the alleged b+ating, including identifying the teachers involved and determining whether students sustained additional injuries. It urged the government to take appropriate disciplinary or legal action if the allegations are substantiated and ensure that such an incident does not happen again.

TRICK OR TREAT?! 👻 Halloween is actually a relatively new tradition here in Sweden. At least the American version of it! In the US, people obviously go ALL IN! 🇺🇸😂 Entire neighborhoods turn into horror movies, with gigantic spiders, life-sized skeletons, tombstones on front lawns, fog machines, and decorations that probably cost more than the average Swede earns in a month! And here in Sweden? 🇸🇪 We put a pumpkin from the grocery store on our doorstep, light a little candle, and immediately start wondering if we’ve gone a bit overboard. 😂 Because God forbid the neighbors might think we’re getting a little too excited about something! But things are actually changing! Every year, more pumpkins, cobwebs, and skeletons appear in Swedish neighborhoods. Kids run around shouting “TRICK OR TREAT!” while we adults have finally found a socially acceptable excuse to dress up, party, and look completely ridiculous! 😂👻 Then, of course, we have our own beautiful tradition, All Saints’ Day. ❤️🕯️ A peaceful holiday when we visit cemeteries, light candles, and remember loved ones who are no longer with us. It’s a wonderful tradition that deserves to be preserved. Two completely different ways of marking this time of year. One filled with peace, reflection, and candlelight. The other with bloody zombies, plastic spiders, and grown adults running around dressed as devils. 😂 I honestly think we need a little more of the second one! Because we’re now entering that absolutely WONDERFUL time of year in Sweden when the sun rises just as you arrive at work and disappears before you’ve even had time to think about lunch. 🌧️🥶 Everything is grey, wet, cold, and dark. Your car is dirty five minutes after washing it! Personally, I’m already counting down the days until I can trade the November darkness, winter jackets, and freezing slush for palm trees, sunshine, and 30°C in Thailand! 🌴☀️ BIG THANK’S TO; @liteblox @smrracing @syvecs.ltd @ixixiforged @foliekniven @cfi_designs @klasenmotors @turbosmarthq @bartekmotorsport @dodsonmotorsport @radiumengineering @supertechperformance #Halloween #Lamborghini
