Tranq can be seen mixed in with Fentanyl as an adulterant in the streets.
Xylazine (“tranq”) is a veterinary sedative classified as an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It decreases norepinephrine release and sympathetic outflow, producing sedation, muscle relaxation, and short-term analgesia. In horses, it can cause bradycardia, transient hypertension, reduced cardiac output, and respiratory depression. Xylazine is not an opioid, so naloxone does not reverse its direct effects. However, naloxone should be administered if opioid co-exposure is suspected, alongside emergency supportive care. If you want to know what I see as withdrawals from tranq on top of opiates, I can make a video about that.. #usa
