Have probably heard the BPO in person 50 times, always note perfect, lush, gorgeous. But have to say, Petrenko consistently the most impressive of the conductors I’ve heard them with. Was at their first concert he conducted in Berlin in 2012, was blown away, and not surprised when they picked him as MD after only a few appearances. Hand in glove.
