Yes but only if the author posts the synopsis for me to decide! I’m driven mad by a lot of posts by authors that don’t do this. They’ll post cover reveals or a trope list or even worse ‘microtrope’ list (which is a made up thing and basically spoilers) or quotes from other authors but not the about what the book is about. I have taken a chance on new authors bc of a social media post that piques my interest, as well as an author I already know bc that’s how I find out about their next book. But don’t waste my time to make the effort to find a link to buy it if you’re not telling me about the story! (Other places include websites like NetGalley or publishers -again if they post the plot, publishers social media is also terrible for not doing this. Goidreads as well but that’s only bc it’s taking books I’ve rated and suggesting them, it’s too chaotic).

I have! I will buy if the concept is intriguing and the author seems like a decent person, but I have also bought books from people just to support them for one reason or another. I am also a sucker for preorder goodies. Basically I’m like @bethrevis lol. Easily influenced
