Beste kadootje van de dag dit. ✨ Laat kinderen kinderen zijn, zonder ouders. Laat ze raven. Laat ze. En dan geen kinderachtige deuntjes maar gewoon keihard mee willen dansen hier buiten.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has released a video following his release from police custody, alleging that he was “kidnapped” rather than legally detained ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) protest in Delhi on October 10. “I was not arrested or detained, I was kidnapped,” Rathee claimed in the video, disputing the description of the police action. He also displayed what he said was his Indian passport, addressing speculation surrounding his nationality and claims that he holds German citizenship. Rathee was taken into custody on Saturday morning from his residence in Gurugram’s Sector 56. According to police accounts reported by The Times of India, approximately 30 plainclothes personnel arrived at his home around 7:30 AM after he allegedly disregarded warnings against joining the demonstration. He was subsequently taken to the Crime Branch office in Sector 39, where he remained for several hours before being released late Saturday night. Police maintained that the action was preventive, citing prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Authorities had denied permission for the CJP demonstration at Jantar Mantar, citing law-and-order concerns. The passport display also comes after former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao sought a Home Ministry inquiry into Rathee’s citizenship and immigration status following his participation in an October 8 protest in Bengaluru. Rao had questioned whether Rathee was legally entitled to participate in political demonstrations if he held foreign citizenship. Rathee’s latest video challenges the police’s account of his detention, although his allegation of kidnapping has not been independently established. The developments come amid protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Police have defended restrictions on the demonstrations as necessary to maintain public order.
