The last time Walter White saw his son. 💔

R.J. Mitte gave ‘Breaking Bad’ some of its most painfully human moments with his performance as Walt Jr., bringing a sense of genuine warmth, sincerity, and vulnerability that made him an integral part of the series.

In “Felina”, the final episode of ‘Breaking Bad’, Walt watches from a distance as his son returns home from school. He never gets to say goodbye, and Walt Jr. never even knows that he’s there. After everything that happened between them, the silence says enough.

Across five seasons, Mitte captured Walt Jr.’s changing relationship with his father with remarkable honesty. He made his love and admiration feel so genuine that watching those feelings slowly give way to anger and heartbreak became all the more devastating, as Walt Jr. came to realize that the man he had always looked up to was the one that was tearing his life and family apart.

Rest in peace, R.J. Mitte. Gone too soon.

Did you know America was named after an Italian? 🇮🇹

Amerigo Vespucci was a Florentine explorer whose voyages helped Europeans recognize that the lands across the Atlantic were part of a New World, separate from Asia.

In 1507, German cartographer Martin Waldseemüller honored Vespucci by using the name “America” on his world map.

More than 500 years later, his name lives on in North America, South America, and the United States of America.
