🏆 BEST SHORT FILM! 🏆

The Heir @theheirfilm takes home another one! Honored to win Best Short Film at the @chesapeakefilmfest at the beautiful Academy Art Museum. And in a STACKED block of films, this win feels extra special!

But what really got me? THE LOVE. 💜

@drcasslewis and daughters- Sydney & Simone drove 2 hours each way. My aunt and uncle drove 8 hours round-trip from Richmond — whom I hadn’t seen in TEN YEARS! Family friend Judge Tim and my beautiful friend Tiffany Tate @nerdtqueen made the 2-hour trip, too!

Y’all… people spending HOURS on the road just to support something you’ve poured your heart into? THAT is priceless. This support system is UNMATCHED!

And shoutout to my cousin Ola and her husband Franklin for the hospitality at their beautiful new house by the water! ❤️🌊

The awards are beautiful, but the people who show up along the way? THAT’S the real WIN. 🖤👑 thanks Cid Collins Walker @mondaraquelwebb Zane Jacquot & #TeamCFF
