Where the hell is my husband... and my tickets? 🎤

Raye has called out ticket touts who used AI bots to "overwhelm" her sign-up process for an upcoming show.

The singer revealed there were 1.8 million sign-ups for her one-off 5,000-seat performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 23 October.

A spokesperson for the Royal Albert Hall said they "invest heavily" in protecting their ticketing systems from "automated attacks" but that venues "cannot solve this problem alone".

I booked tickets through Dice before. If you want to sell them, it goes back into the app with a maximum price.

Go back to how it used to be: sell at ticket windows only. We used to wait in line for a few hours with other fans. It was so much fun. There used to be ticket windows at family pharmacies and department stores. That’s how you keep the bots away.

Asked Alexa to play Raye for me yesterday as I was cooking dinner. It told me I was in the top 5% of listeners to Raye. Unsurprisingly as I have listened to her music for years and listening most days. Things like this should be taken into account, allowing true fans to see her at affordable prices. There is a way to eliminate these scenarios. AI is clever - surely not more so than us??

What if online ticket sales required a passport to verify the human element? Most people have passports - or something like that a national insurance number, drivers license? I have been on the phone or computer many many times queuing for tickets for my kids. Only to find they sold out and are going for £100’s more on re-sellers sites.

Photo id and address on tickets just like Glastonbury requires but Ticketmaster and co won't agree to that as they are the ones touting tickets for extortionate prices

@andy.burnham just get that turn that manifesto into law! Our children especially have no hope of either getting or being able to afford tickets to live shows in their lifetime. 😢

People physically queuing for tickets with in person collection would stop this. But let's be honest LiveNation/Ticketmaster have built their business on ripping off real fans manipulating and monopolizing the industry. Hopefully others will follow Raye and fight back against this.

Very disappointed I never received a presale code, and when I joined the queue for the general sale, there were no tickets available. Genuine fans have no chance. Tickets bought on resale sites should be cancelled, and sold to genuine fans.
