i'm not going to lie, throughout my 1st and 2nd pregnancies, I had more worries than I dare to speak. “what is WRONG with me, why am I so scared, shouldn’t I be more excited ??” I want to go back and say, girl. STOP. NOTHING is wrong with you. You feel EXACTLY how 90% of women feel but are too terrified to say out loud. Now as a mom of 4, I’ll tell you the truth. OF COURSE I was thrilled to be having my first baby. But I was absolutely DREADING what was coming AFTER. I just couldn’t even explain those feelings. So I ignored them - hoping they’d go away. here’s what I need you to hear RIGHT NOW while you still have time: LABOR is the event. Postpartum is YOUR MOTHERHOOD. The more a mother loves her motherhood, the more a child loves her childhood. and you are NOT prepared for postpartum - bc almost no one is. Every pregnancy resource is about the baby. the registry. the nursery. the sleep schedule. the feeding plan. But where is the resource for YOU? your recovery? your nervous system? your relationship? your identity? It’s 2026, are you kidding me. YOU are the one going through a medical event. And all “pregnancy prep” is about shoving “must have” baby products down your throat. you don’t need more INFO about babies. you need RELIEF. you need to feel like you’re in CONTROL of what’s coming next you need CERTAINTY that you have a plan and you’re going to be okay. I’m an ex-Google, ex-Meta exec and now a mom of 4. My first postpartum almost broke me because I thought “I’ll be fine - I’ll figure it out.” I was so focused on the baby prep, I didn’t realize how much I need to prep for ME. And I paid the price. I was drowning in postpartum and it cost me enjoying my baby and my motherhood. You don’t have to learn this the hard way. I’m not asking you to relate to this - because I know as a first time mom, I was naive too. But girl believe me, I’m handing you the life raft to prevent your postpartum drowning. Take it. You’ll be happy you did when you’re not coming up for air at 3am on day 6 of your baby’s life. comment PLAYBOOK when you decide nothing is going to stop you
