Our customer brought their ford explorer in for a new set of spark plugs and ignition coils. While we had the car we also replaced the serpentine belt, fixed a leaking oil pressure sensor, fresh oil change, tire rotation, and cleaned a dirty throttle body! #alloutautowerx

Glin Castle Revisited You know you’re getting older when you stumble upon memories you didn’t remember you had. One such filing in the archives of the dusty library you could call my brain has to do with a few precious days spent at a castle in Ireland. I seem to remember a game of charades, there was also a murder mystery of some sorts. I think they asked me to teach some poor souls the art of photography. Good heavens. If memory serves the castle was surrounded by a kind of jungle, the wonderful hosts were utterly charming. It’s a bit of a blur. A wonderful blur. I blame it all on the sloe gin concoction that chap called Sam kept pouring us (I’m sure I protested for as long as I could.) There was a woman with an unpronounceable name - Cliodhingraenisqalinga or something like that. And the other woman, Imen. Just lovely. And her equally lovely husband who picked us up from the airport repeating his mantra “Happy wife, happy life.” I wasn’t quite sold on that one. Still, whatever works. Since we were in Scotland this summer, our daughter Gaia, the middle one, has been channeling a character called Mildred. Originally Scottish from Aberdeen, Mildred turned Irish when Gaia realised her talents were more consonant with the musicality of the Irish tongue. We haven’t seen much of Gaia since this summer but that’s alright, Mildred is a lovely girl and gets a lot of compliments. To please Mildred my wife dragged out of a box a lovely Irish sweater, a gift from our stay at Glin. And with it came flowing a bunch of memories from that slice of a stay, where we stepped for a brief moment into another life. And from there it was easy, old hard drive, search “Glin” - Voilà As for us, the Thorissons, and Mildred of course, we have already cast one eye towards the Emerald Isle (or is it Auld Sod) we have only visited once. There’s a trip on the horizon. There’s a Guinness in Dublin somewhere with my name on it. If I’m not mistaken you can rent out Glin castle for events and celebrations ... or if you’re planning a murder mystery, or just getting drunk with some friends. It’s magic.
