Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) endorsed Michigan GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers on Sunday. Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens gave a surprise endorsement to Michigan GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers on Sunday amid a rift with Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed that has come front and center in the final sprint to Election Day.  “Our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away, and he’s right,” Stevens said in a video posted on social media Sunday. “And that’s why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today.” She went to a Detroit church with Rogers on Sunday and sat next to him during the service before announcing her endorsement. Stevens’ decision stunned Democratic leaders, including Reps. Debbie Dingell of Michigan and Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who had spoken with her Saturday evening and said she had assured them she would vote for El-Sayed. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, who backed Stevens during the primary, called her decision a “betrayal.”  CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Stevens Sunday and repeatedly asked her what changed her mind between her conversation with Dingell late Saturday night and Sunday morning. She did not answer him directly. At one point, she told him, “That’s just where I landed with this. I woke up this morning clear-eyed, fresh and, you know, focused on what was in my heart, and that’s that.”  Caption from article by Kaia Hubbard, CBS News
Even though this was not the break I wanted, taking care of my dad has been a break from cancer life. Just a reminder to focus on something else today because cancer thoughts can take over your life if you let it. #agoodcancerjourney #chemotherapy #cancercommunity
Happy Halloween to everyone, please don’t forget the Iranian people 🙏 Hello, @Instagram I am a women’s and human rights activist and a comedian for Iranian citizens. I use satirical content using comedy and dark humor for social commentary. Symbolic and non-violent. People who support the regime often report my account for false reasons, either because of words that have double meanings or tor completely take reasons, even it I have not violated Instagram’s terms and conditions; they want to abuse your algorithm to block people to silence me. I would be grateful if you could please remove the restrictions on my account, because I only fight for human rights. #halloween #iran #fyp
