A chapter comes to a close.
Five years ago, PRS in Italy was little more than an idea.
Today it is a reality, with clear rules, a calendar, a community of well-prepared shooters, and a recognized place on the international stage.
Over these years we have organized matches, national championships, courses, and open days.
We hosted the first final of the PRS Pro Series European Championship and opened up to Italy’s best shooters the path to the PRS finals in the United States, a milestone that until recently seemed impossibly far off.
I also had the pleasure of writing the first book on PRS published in Italy, which will be available shortly, so that this work would leave something concrete behind for those who come after.
None of this was the result of one person alone.
Thanks to the Board of ASD DLR, Piero and Francesco, and to the shooters who believed in the project from the very first matches.
Thanks to the match directors, instructors, and range officers, who made every event possible.
Thanks to the sponsors, to the ranges that hosted us, and to Ken and Runar for the trust they placed in us.
With the close of the season, I have decided to step down as director of PRS Italy and return the license to PRS USA, which will determine its future in our country.
My professional commitments have grown and now demand the time and energy I have so far devoted to this project.
The time has come to invest them elsewhere.
I leave behind a solid system, good results, and the work of many dedicated people, to whom I will give my full support to ensure continuity.
It is a foundation from which things can only get better, and I sincerely hope they will.
ASD DLR will continue its training and coaching activities as usual.
Thank you all. See you on the range.
