I played “Joni” for the first time ever at the @grammymuseum last Monday. Thank you to @blakemills @thisiswatt @markisham @sistastrings @solomondorseymusic @timhanseroth @phil_hanseroth for bringing this song to life.

Exactly two years ago tonight we were about to witness @jonimitchell take the stage with the Joni Jammers at the Hollywood Bowl. It’s not lost on me that these two unbelievable nights, along with these mind-bogglingly talented artists and musicians, could be the catalyst for me to fly alone across the country to @aarondessner’s studio to begin the difficult journey of returning to myself.

But as my friend @cameronbcrowe reminded me recently, it was Joni all along…

“I’m traveling in some vehicle
I’m sitting in some cafe
A defector from the petty wars
That shell shock love away
There’s comfort in melancholy
When there’s no need to explain
It’s just as natural as the weather
In this moody sky today
In our possessive coupling
So much could not be expressed
So now I’m returning to myself
These things that you and I suppressed
I see something of myself in everyone
Just at this moment of the world
As snow gathers like bolts of lace
Waltzing on a ballroom girl”

🔥 Ishan Kishan ruled out! 👀 Who should open for India in the 2nd T20I? 🇮🇳🏏

Abhishek Sharma 🤝 Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 🤝 Sanju Samson is this the perfect top three? 💙

Imagine strapping a camera to your head for an eight-hour work shift…

Workers across India are being paid to wear cameras while they cut hair, stitch garments, cook and carry out other everyday tasks. Their hand movements are recorded and then transformed into data that AI researchers and robotics companies can use to train machines.

But as workers and tech companies profit from growing demand, questions remain about the future of industries that still rely heavily on manual labour.

Ella and Marcie have been friends forever and spent over a decade hunting ghosts together on YouTube. But lately, their friendship has started to look more dead than anything they’re trying to find. This Halloween, they’re heading into another haunted house for a livestream, and both have secret plans for how the night will end.
What could possibly go wrong? Well, quite a fucking lot, actually.

This was a fast-paced, creepy and atmospheric paranormal thriller that hooked its claws into me from the very beginning. Both women are hoping tonight will change everything, but for VERY different reasons. And watching those plans unfold had me glued to the pages.
Now, I don’t believe in ghosts, and ghost-hunting shows usually make me cringe myself inside out. But two people creeping around a haunted house while one is planning to kill the other? Suddenly, I’m a subscriber. Notifications ON.
The twists were brilliant. Every time I thought I knew where things were going, Marnie pulled the rug out from under me. Apparently, I was just there to be confidently wrong and have a lovely time doing it.
What I wasn’t prepared for was how much Marcie talking about her dog would hurt. I’m still grieving my boy, who passed away two months ago, so those moments hit particularly hard. And that final scene had me absolutely bawling.
Another great read from Marnie.

🩸 The Panic Verdict: Creepy, twisty and far more emotional than I expected. Come for the murder plans. Bring tissues for the emotional damage.

Rating - 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸

💀 Do you watch ghost hunting shows?
