Preshy An

The evening was fulfilling as we went from an art gallery by the artist, @guate.mao , which I hope to visit again someday, to a fashion show by a local designer brand, @vognon_made_in_benin .

The experience was a roller coaster of reality and emotions, from enthralled and lovely to nervous and unsure, with a mixture of emotions I’d never really felt before. I saw fresh art, entered new spaces, encountered people in a social setting I wasn’t familiar with, and met amazing people, all these in a different country.

The experience was different, and that exposure challenged what I was used to. I reflected on the journey back home and wrote down some prominent lessons I picked up.
