It’s taken me a couple of days to truly process what happened this weekend. We put ourselves in the best position heading into the final power stage. All we needed was 4th or better to clinch the championship. After a season of fighting for every second and point, it came down to one last stage. Half way through the stage we hit exposed bedrock on the racing line, puncturing both left side tires. We did everything we could to limp to the finish but in the end it wasn’t enough. What makes this harder to swallow is knowing everything it took to get here. This season was do or die for me. I put everything I had financially into running my own team, competing against manufacturer teams with far more resources and support. There were no guarantees, but I believed we could fight at the front. And we proved that. Bad luck followed us all season. At the Snow Drift we were three corners from our first overall win when a mechanical failure took it away. Punctures at two other rallies cost us chances at wins and valuable points. Somehow, we still led the championship for most of the year. Without the two dropped rounds in ARA’s points system, we would have won on total points. Those were the rules we all raced under, but it’s still a tough pill to swallow. I don’t think I’ve ever given so much of myself to something, only to come so painfully close. But I don’t want this weekend to overshadow what we accomplished. I became the first woman to lead the overall American Rally Championship standings and the first woman to win an overall national rally, in my first season back after two years and my first in a Rally2 car. I’m incredibly proud of that, and no championship result can take it away. I’m so proud of everyone who put their heart and soul into this program. I know how much they sacrificed, and I wish we could have brought home the title they deserved. I’ve always known rallying can be cruel, but I don’t think I understood just how cruel until this weekend. I hope I’ll remember more than how it ended: the risks we took, the history we made, and the people who believed in us. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. ❤️

Stephanie Mills Says “Culture Vulture” Lady Gaga Disrespected Her During a Surprise Performance: “You Owe Me an Apology” 🎥: @jasonleeshow Blogged by: Draggy Stephanie Mills says an unpleasant encounter with Lady Gaga left such a bad impression that she still believes the pop superstar owes her an apology. The Grammy Award-winning R&B legend did not hold back while discussing Gaga during an appearance on BET’s “The Jason Lee Show.” In a preview for the full interview, Mills shared her feelings about the singer and explained why a past interaction changed how she viewed the international superstar. “I feel like Lady Gaga is a culture vulture,” Mills said during the conversation. The accusation immediately put their alleged interaction under scrutiny, especially considering Mills’ decades of contributions to R&B, soul music, and Broadway. However, the singer made it clear that her criticism came from a personal experience rather than simply disliking Gaga’s music or public image. Stephanie Mills recalled being approached about making a surprise appearance for Gaga during a fashion photo shoot in New York City. Mills explained that a former manager informed her that Gaga supposedly loved her signature song, “Home.” The arrangement involved Mills showing up and performing the beloved record for the pop star. Although she was initially hesitant about the request, Mills eventually agreed to participate. What was supposed to be a special musical moment allegedly became an uncomfortable experience. During the interview, Mills claimed Gaga showed little enthusiasm when she performed the song. Instead of receiving the warm response she anticipated, the veteran entertainer described feeling as though her presence was unwelcome. “She looked at me like I had two heads,” Mills recalled. For Stephanie Mills, the disappointment apparently extended beyond Gaga’s reaction to the performance. Mills alleged that she had not been offered money for the appearance. Instead, the arrangement reportedly involved receiving professional photographs from the photographer working at the shoot.
