One of the cool things about thru hiking is that besides the beautiful scenery, you run into the most interesting people. We got lucky meeting Sarah who was part of the search and rescue team we met the other day. She offered to give us a ride into town and we met up with her and her husband for dinner that night. An evening of exchanging adventure stories followed. And now we have a friend in Truckee. 😊 (should’ve gotten a picture!)
