Being a mood reader means I'm reading horror books 11 months out of the year, but the one month everyone else is into it, my brain is in the mood for a cozy, lighthearted romance.

المدينة البعيدة ليست مجرد مسلسل درامي، بل حكاية عن القدر حين يجبر شخصين على السير في طريق لم يختاره أيٌّ منهما.
تبدأ القصة مع عليا، المرأة التي تعود إلى أرض لم تكن ترغب في العودة إليها، حاملةً معها طفلها ووعدًا أخيرًا لزوجها الراحل. لكنها تجد نفسها محاصرة بعائلة قوية، وعادات صارمة، وصراعات لا تنتهي، لتصبح حريتها وابنها على المحك.
في الجهة الأخرى يقف جيهان، الرجل الذي يحمل على كتفيه مسؤولية عائلته وإرثها الثقيل، ويضع الواجب فوق كل شيء، حتى فوق مشاعره. ومع مرور الوقت، تتحول العلاقة بينه وبين عليا من مواجهة وصدام إلى رابطة معقدة، تتداخل فيها الثقة والخوف، والقرب والابتعاد، والحب الذي يحاول كل منهما إنكاره.
ومع توالي الأحداث، تنكشف أسرار قديمة، وتشتعل صراعات جديدة، ويجد الجميع أنفسهم أمام قرارات مصيرية تغيّر حياتهم إلى الأبد. فلا أحد يخرج من هذه الحكاية كما دخلها، لأن كل شخصية تدفع ثمن الماضي، وتحاول أن تصنع مستقبلًا مختلفًا رغم كل العقبات.
نجح المدينة البعيدة في جذب الملايين لأنه قدّم قصة إنسانية عميقة، جعلت من عليا وجيهان أكثر من مجرد بطلين؛ بل شخصيتين تعيشان صراعًا بين القلب والواجب، وبين ما يفرضه القدر وما يتمناه الإنسان.

Lady calls out a man for sending her an inappropriate message moments after they met at a restaurant; apparently, she complimented his lips first.

BREAKING: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has been ruled OUT for Week 6 after doctors discovered movement in a superficial blood clot, per @rapsheet.

The Eagles released a statement saying Hurts initially suffered a calf injury during Week 4 against the Rams. An ultrasound performed before last Sunday's game in London revealed a small blood clot, but doctors determined he could safely play.

A follow-up ultrasound that night showed the clot had moved, prompting the team to hold him out.
