I’ve spent much of my career developing consumer products. And one of the most important things I’ve learned is this:

The experience is just as important as the product itself.

Take these little blue snowflake slippers, for example. ❄️

Nobody really needs another pair of slippers.

But an hour spent making something with your own hands? The satisfaction of seeing it come together? That wonderful moment when you realize, “I made this!”

That’s something entirely different.

When I developed WOOLIGANS, I wanted to design more than a DIY kit. I wanted to remove the obstacles that often stand between someone and a successful creative experience.

Pre-cut materials. Thoughtful construction. One simple stitch. A little encouragement along the way.

The slippers are the souvenir.

The real product is the experience of making something you’re proud of.

And that’s what I love most about product development — creating things that people genuinely enjoy using.
