Happy Indigenous People’s Day! 🐺🪶 There is NO conservation without indigenous justice! COLUMBUS DIDN’T DISCOVER AMERICA. HE HELPED BEGIN ITS COLONIZATION. 💔 This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we confront the history our textbooks often erased. When Columbus arrived in 1492, Indigenous civilizations had thrived for thousands of years. What followed was enslavement, violence, disease, and centuries of colonization that devastated Indigenous communities.Colonization also transformed the natural world. 🌲🐺 Forests were cleared, wildlife populations destroyed, and Indigenous land stewardship displaced. Wolves were nearly eradicated from the contiguous United States. 💔 🌎 The history of colonization is also a history of environmental destruction. But Indigenous peoples are STILL here. Resisting, creating, innovating, and defending their sovereignty, lands, waters, wildlife, and cultures. 💜 At Women for Wolves, we believe conservation cannot be separated from Indigenous sovereignty. 🪶 Today, we honor Indigenous resilience, leadership, and generations of stewardship. Poliisi on lopettanut kyseisen asian tutkinnan, koska jäljet johtavat ulkomaille. Ainoa keinoni on siis varoittaa teitä kaikkia vastaavista tilanteista.
