One thing I’ve felt very convicted about this year is becoming a student again.

And when you become a specialist or expert within your niche, it can be so easy to become complacent with learning. But the downside? You can miss out on new knowledge, information and even confidence!

Heading to this event, I told myself, “Today, I’m a student.” And let me tell you, it was SO informative! Learning about the difference between moisture and hydration, the ingredients that yield results, how combining certain ingredients can boost efficacy and that’s not even the half of it!

My history with my natural hair has been a rocky one. But the information shared yesterday gave me a new level of confidence that doesn’t just benefit me, but every woman who sits in my chair.

Yes, my work is centred around hair extensions. But that doesn’t stop me from learning more about our natural hair and sharing the insights, knowledge and encouragement I gain from rooms like these.

So genuinely, thank you @dryvonneabimbola @dr.eve.skin @cantubeautyuk and @tressly.studios for yesterday. It was more than just an event for me. I feel more educated, equipped and confident, both for myself AND my clients. 🧡
