One of my favourite stories about Hitchcock. While developing Notorious with screenwriter Ben Hecht, he decided that the Nazi plot would revolve around uranium ore hidden inside wine bottles, at a time when the atomic bomb was still a closely guarded secret.
Hitchcock and Hecht even consulted Nobel Prize-winning physicist Robert Millikan while researching the idea.
And in classic Hitchcock fashion, all that intrigue was ultimately just the MacGuffin (plot device)!

Basicly means no matter how much you try to hide it odds are someone notice, and put the pieces together.

I had no idea. I just look at the movie as Grant's comeback and Bergman's swansong when she got banished for like a decade for dumping her husband for Roberto Rossellini.
