They covered the Ring doorbell before doing anything else, then moved on to a second house on the same road 😳 This was Eltham Avenue in Cippenham, Slough. Footage sent in shows two people in hoods and face coverings walking up to the first house at around 2am on Thursday 15 October, with one running straight to the doorbell and covering the lens. Less than half an hour later, cameras at another house down the road pick them up watching the driveway from the fence. Then one of them walks down it and starts trying the car doors. The person who sent it says they tried to break into their house, and that cars were stolen in the area that night. There’s no word yet from police. We’ll update if they confirm details. If you saw anything, call Thames Valley Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Is this happening on your road too? 👇 Send this to anyone in Cippenham with a car on the drive 🙏 📍 Eltham Avenue, Cippenham 🗓️ Thu 15 Oct, 2:04am 🎥 Sent in anonymously 📲 Got footage? The Taxman Cometh 📽 by @area_57 In the face of danger, a robin’s decision to abandon their nest might seem uncaring, but it’s grounded in evolutionary logic. When a predator targets the nestlings, the robin has to make a split-second choice: fight an unwinnable battle to defend them or escape to survive. The reasoning is simple: by preserving his or her own life, they are ensured a chance to reproduce again. This behavior is common among animals with high reproductive potential, like robins, which can lay multiple clutches of eggs in a single season. Sacrificing one, two or all of their chicks, while seemingly heartless, increases their odds of successfully raising future broods. For those keeping score, if the adult dies defending the nest, those odds take a swan dive. It’s a cold decision, but evolution tends to favor those who prioritize long-term survival over individual loss. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nature Is Metal is powered by you!
