We’re thrilled to have Jan jJennings as co-moderator of Give Us A Minute, presented by AMAVA Collective at the Disability Collective Conference! Jan is the co-founder and artistic producer of AMAVA Collective

Get to know Jan:
Jan Jennings is a proud British, Jamaican, and Ghanaian whimsical human and mother. With a knack for performance, writing, and comedy, her work sparks curiosity and invites self-reflection.
Through intentional workshops and hangs exploring grief and sexual liberation, as well as plays, poetry, and think pieces, her bold perspective leaves audiences intrigued, or at the very least, laughing.
A dramaturg and grief worker certified in Grief Literacy, she holds a degree in Gender & Women Studies from York University, a diploma in Community & Justice Services from Sheridan College, and a post-graduate certificate in Publishing from Centennial College. She is currently nurturing personal projects set to bloom in 2027.
