Your belief in this work reaffirmed that this story matters and that the artists bringing it to life matter as artists, storytellers, and creatives First workshop of Ntsi Ntsi is in a few days. More to come. by @amava.collective
Ntsi Ntsi was first developed through Cahoots Theatre’s Hot House under the guidance of Marjorie Chan. This new work exploring fractured freedom in post-apartheid South Africa. Written/ created by Tsholo Tyson Khalema, the piece is a personal story with collective history, confronting trauma, survival, and the ongoing work of liberation. This work has been shaped with support from the Ontario Arts Council, Obsidian Theatre, Why Not Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, the Government of Canada, and most recently Black Theatre Workshop through the AMP Artist Mentorship Program. Deep gratitude to the many artists and institutions who continue to hold and grow this work. ____ Mosotho drawing by Kgalee Art | Saatchi Art by @amava.collective
