At my lowest moment, I wrote my 8-month-old a goodbye letter.

This was supposed to be a 2-minute referral video for @flooredpelvichealth, but somehow it turned into one of the deepest things I’ve ever shared with anyone.

It’s honestly a bit nerve-wracking to post, but if it can help or encourage even one person to share their story- it’s worth it. so... here it goes.

Literally just met the guy filming it 😅

Maybe, realistically, the best day of my life…. @nfl @buffalobills thank you all immensely for makin some dreams come true today💙❤️ swipe to end to see my submission to take over if @joshallenqb ever needs a snack break…..Godspeed go bills be good

In honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day, the word of the day is “tradition.” Together with our friend Zahn McClarnon we honor Indigenous people around the world and the many ways they share their culture and traditions every day. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

Loma Linda University runs one of the few programs in the country built entirely around preventing Alzheimer’s rather than managing it, and Dean and Ayesha Sherzai run it.

Their framing starts with the timeline.

Amyloid and tau accumulate for roughly two decades before anyone notices a symptom, and because the brain carries no pain receptors, none of it registers while it happens.

The first forgotten name sits at the end of a long process, not the start of one.

That gap is the entire opportunity, and the numbers attached to it are better than most people expect.

Dhana and colleagues (Neurology, 2020) found that people following four or five healthy lifestyle factors had a 60% lower risk of Alzheimer’s dementia than those following zero or one.

The Sherzais’ NEURO framework is built on that pattern.

Diet carries its own figure.

Morris and colleagues (Neurology, 2018) tracked older adults and found that roughly one daily serving of leafy greens corresponded to cognitive aging equivalent to being 11 years younger, though the design makes it an association rather than proof.

Exercise and sleep each have a mechanism behind them.

Brisk walking raises BDNF, a growth factor supporting the formation of new neural connections.

Deep sleep drives the glymphatic system, which clears the same proteins implicated in the disease.

Worth keeping the honest caveat attached: most of this is observational, so these habits track with lower risk rather than demonstrably causing it, and genetics and healthcare access still shape outcomes.

Nothing here buys a guarantee. It moves the odds, starting decades before the odds appear to matter.

I have never been so grateful or so proud of my body and everything it has done for me and my little girl. I will never forget the last 10 months growing her + giving birth to her, truly what a miracle. Solei is healthy and so am I and I just feel like the luckiest person in the entire world. Thank you Jesus 💛 and thank you all so much for the prayers for me + solei and for all of the kind, supportive, thoughtful messages. We feel so loved and truly so so happy.
