Working or owning your own business in an industry that is traditionally viewed as "stuffy" doesn't mean your headshot needs to be. It should speak to who you are.

Sara here is a bookkeeper and accountant and didn't want the stuffy look. I think we achieved that.

The quintessential castle, Burg Eltz. It’s a place that hasn’t been conquered by time, only embraced by it and I’m so glad to bring my Ada Wong cosplay in Janggan Kebaya. This is a traditional outfit from Indonesia ❤️

Anyway since it’s Halloween (spooky) season, shall we do a Resident Evil stream on my @twitch? Which one shall we stream?! 👀

There’s something wonderfully improbable about falling in love with someone who lives on the other side of the ocean.

Of all the people in the world, all the places we could have been, and all the circumstances that had to align for our paths to cross, somehow, we found each other.

And a few weeks ago, the woman I fell in love with from thousands of miles away flew across an ocean to spend three weeks with me in Brooklyn.

I’ve been trying to find the words to describe what those weeks meant, but I think the most beautiful part was how wonderfully ordinary it all felt.

The laughter, the adventures, the ridiculous conversations, the quiet mornings. The way we could spend hours doing absolutely nothing and never want to be anywhere else. Discovering all the little things about someone that you can’t quite learn through a screen. Realizing that the person I’d fallen in love with from afar was somehow even more extraordinary up close.

For a long time, I thought healing meant becoming someone who couldn’t be hurt again. But I’m learning that maybe it means having the courage to remain open to something beautiful, even when you know how vulnerable love can make you.

And what a beautiful thing this has been.

There’s something extraordinary about two people living entirely different lives on opposite sides of the world finding each other and feeling so profoundly understood. About someone feeling so new and yet so wonderfully familiar. About love making thousands of miles feel impossibly far away and somehow irrelevant all at once.

I’ve spent years studying what makes people feel connected, valued, and worthy of love. Yet here I am, still marveling at the experience of being human. Of finding someone who sees you, chooses you, and makes ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

I don’t know what the future holds. But in a world of eight billion people, finding a love like this feels like a one-in-a-million kind of miracle.

And perhaps the most beautiful lesson life keeps teaching me is that there are still wonderful things waiting to surprise us.

Sometimes, they even fly across an ocean to find us ✈️

History for Laverysen in Shanghai 🤩

It’s a 23rd career UCI World Championship title for the Dutch rider 🏆 🌈
