✨deep breath✨ I don’t understand why we’re still having this conversation but apparently it needs to be said again because some people can’t let others read in peace. 🤦🏻‍♀️ DON’T 👏🏻 YUCK 👏🏻 A 👏🏻 YUM — unless it’s promoting racism, homophobia, pedophilia, etc. Be a freakin’ grownup and stop trying to tear people down because of what they choose to read! (If I’ve shared about a problematic author, please do let me know so I can do research and correct my unfortunate support of said author.) Reading/disliking one genre or another doesn’t make anyone better than. ✨ Damn, dude. My children have a better understanding of this than some of the “adults” in this space. 😮‍💨 • • • • • #bookstagram #bookish #bookishcommunity #bookstagram #spicybooks

Family feud: You’re not the 1st child. You have been given 4 choice flats and medical support — Billionaire Okoya’s Family tackles Fatai The family of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya has disputed Fatai Okoya’s claim that he is his father’s first child, insisting that he is the third child. In a statement signed by Nathaniel Omeninwan, senior public relations manager of Eleganza Industries Ltd, the family responded after Fatai publicly sought forgiveness and reconciliation with his father following 40 years apart. Fatai had described his father’s rejection as painful and accused Shade Okoya, his father’s wife, of preventing him from seeing the industrialist on his birthday. However, the family denied the allegations, claiming Fatai had received substantial financial support, including four flats in Lagos and assistance with medical bills. “The Okoya family finds it regrettable that Fatai Okoya (who is in fact the third child of Aare Rasaq Okoya, CON) has dragged what are otherwise private family matters into the public domain to attract public sympathy, gain attention and unjustifiably discredit other family members,” the statement read. The family added that Fatai’s disagreement with his father began long before Okoya married Shade. “Fatai Okoya has benefited immensely from his father and continues to benefit. He lives in, and has been given, four flats by his father in Ogunlana Surulere, and has at times been receiving payment for his medical bills,” it stated. On the allegation against Shade, the family said she did not prevent Fatai from seeing his father during the birthday medical outreach, claiming several guests witnessed their encounter.
