I find river's journey quite inspiring....
She carries everything but holds nothing.... She doesn't hurry yet nothing can stop her from reaching her destination.... Soft enough to bend, strong enough to carve the mountain.... No matter what she keeps flowing....

A little autumn magic in our home library.

With the help of wayfair, I’ve been creating the coziest little reading nook, layering beautiful traditional furniture, warm lighting, plaid cushions and snuggly throws to make this corner feel like something straight out of a storybook.

There’s something so magical about rainy autumn days, the flicker of firelight, getting lost in the pages of a good book and creating those little moments that make a house feel like a home.

If I can make our new-build feel like a cosy old cottage from the pages of a fairy-tale, then I think I’ve achieved exactly what I set out to do. Although, judging by Pearl’s reaction, I may have accidentally created her dream bedroom instead!
