A young woman narrowly escaped being crushed under a speeding truck in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar after a terrifying collision with her scooter. In a remarkable display of quick reflexes, she managed to grab onto the truck’s bumper just as the heavy vehicle struck her two-wheeler, potentially saving her life. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, with the footage drawing attention to reckless driving by heavy vehicles.

The accident occurred on Belapur Road, where a sand-laden truck was reportedly travelling at high speed. CCTV footage shows the truck approaching a turn before abruptly moving right without sufficiently slowing down or warning other motorists. The vehicle then crashes directly into the woman’s scooter, leaving her in an extremely dangerous position.

However, instead of falling beneath the truck’s wheels, the woman instinctively grabs its bumper and holds on as the collision unfolds. Moments later, she manages to get back on her feet and walk away from the wreckage. Several bystanders immediately rush towards her to check whether she has been injured.

The truck driver is subsequently seen stepping out of the vehicle and inspecting the damaged scooter. According to NDTV, he appeared to argue with people gathered at the scene before fleeing as more locals assembled.

Eyewitnesses alleged that the truck did not have a registration number plate and was reportedly associated with the Mahalgaon sand auction in Vaijapur. These claims have not been independently verified.

The incident has renewed concerns among residents about speeding sand trucks and vehicles allegedly operating without proper permits. Locals have demanded stricter enforcement and action against drivers violating traffic regulations.

While the woman’s quick thinking helped her escape a potentially fatal accident, the footage serves as a disturbing reminder of how a single reckless turn by a heavy vehicle can put another road user’s life at risk.
