đŸ’Ș Well well.
Newport Police Department — August 26, 2026: Officers and the harbormaster approached a sailboat in Newport Harbor shortly before 9 a.m. after receiving reports that it had been stolen from New Jersey. According to police, 27-year-old Brendan Norris of Newport fled below deck, ignored officers’ commands, armed himself, and opened fire, grazing an officer before officers shot and killed him. The injured officer was treated at a hospital and released to recover at home. Stay informed. Stay sharp.
