It’s definitely harder to find clothing that fits our modestly standards in the summer months. Some of the products I’m using are eye patches, blush and bronzer @rhode foundation mascara @dibsbeauty eyeshadow @colourpopcosmetics Cosmetics lip stain @wonderskin

I like how you said " I think everyone has a different view/ definition on modesty". I think makeup is not modest at all. I don't understand if you are to cover up ( I have no issue with that and respect that) but it's strange to me then to put makeup on. Don't get me wrong I've worn makeup ( very very rare) my profile pic is with makeup on. But I guess it just is something I get confused on. I love you @miriam.ezagui so much love for you and sharing.

I used to buy my daughter t-shirts from the 'boys' section because the fit was better and the sleeves longer, although there was often nothing to indicate it was boys clothing especially if just a plain colour. Would buying something marketed towards a different gender but not necessarily gender specific in design be prohibited?

I struggle to understand not wearing pants. Historically, Jewish men (or men in general) weren't wearing pants. It was robes and tunics. Is it just because in the last few hundred years pants were stereotypically male clothing? And I don't actually know the origin of pants, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

what would the rabbinical option be on kilts? I feel like it would be an interesting discussion.

Shopping in physical stores is a challenge. I had to buy something white and chic for a Backstreet Boys concert in September and it felt nearly impossible.

Scotland wears kilts. Pants aren’t just men’s clothing

I enjoy your channel. I enjoy learning about all religions. Can I ask you, have you ever doubted your faith?

I have two questions that just popped in my brain: 1. Is kilt considered a "women's clothes" scince it's a form of "skirt"? 2. Is there an equivalent to scouts in the Jewish world?

What if a woman's job requires her to wear trousers?

@miriam.ezagui i’ve always been curious, do you wear scrub pants or a skirt at the hospital?

I grew up in a very Protestant Christian area. But one girl I knew in school was of a specific denomination that required long hair, ankle-length skirts, and long sleeves. She liked jeans, so she wore long jean skirts everyday and a casual trendy top or hoodie. This was also the aughts, so the layering trend was very helpful for her.

@miriam.ezagui Just curious, are there any transgender people in the orthodox community?

I'm not Orthodox Jewish, but I do like to dress modest. For the warm weather/hot weather, I have a few pairs of loose fitting cropped pants and cotton tops. I used to wear skirts but I need pockets. Fall and winter sweaters and regular pants.

My extended family lives in Long Branch NJ and it’s a VERY orthodox Jewish area and every summer I see the ladies in their modest clothes.
