Please Don’t Scroll Past Leon
Meet Leon, a beautiful 5-month-old baby boy from Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Leon came into this world surrounded by love. Like every parent, his family dreamed of watching him grow, smile, play and discover life. But only a few months after his birth, they began to notice that Leon was becoming weaker instead of stronger.
After medical examinations and genetic testing, his family received the diagnosis no parent is ever prepared to hear:
Leon has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA Type-1).
SMA is a serious genetic neuromuscular disease that progressively weakens the muscles responsible for movement and, in severe cases, can also affect swallowing and breathing.
Leon is only 5 months old, and time is extremely important.
Leon urgently needs access to Zolgensma
Zolgensma is a one-time gene therapy for SMA, and early treatment can be critically important in helping children preserve as much motor and muscle function as possible.
The estimated cost of Leon’s treatment is approximately $1.6 million.
For one family, this amount feels impossible.
But if thousands of people stand together, the impossible can become possible.
Please help Leon.
Every donation — large or small — brings him one step closer to treatment.
If you are unable to donate, please share Leon’s story. One share may reach the person who can make a life-changing difference.
Let’s give Leon the chance to grow up, play, smile and experience the childhood he deserves.
Donate. Share. Be part of Leon’s hope.
