🎬 THIS is one of the things I absolutely LOVE about filmmaking!

As the writer, I know how I envisioned a scene when I wrote it, right down to how certain lines should be delivered. But one thing I’ve learned and truly appreciate is allowing actors the freedom to bring their own creativity to the characters they portray!

In this behind-the-scenes moment, I’m talking with Jaren Hampton, who plays C.J. in “Christmas Owes Me Nothing”, about how I envisioned a particular line being delivered. Well, Jaren had a different idea! 😂 And when he shared his thoughts, I LOVED IT! We went with his suggestion, and it worked PERFECTLY!

And that’s what makes the creative process so beautiful! Sometimes an actor sees something in their character that brings an entirely different layer to the scene. As a writer, I don’t ever want to be so attached to what’s on the page that I miss the magic of what can happen when we collaborate!

I love when actors don’t just play their characters, but truly EMBODY them! That’s when the story really comes to life! ❤️

🎄🎬 November 1st, CHRISTMAS OWES ME NOTHING arrives on Amazon Prime Video! I can’t wait for you all to experience this story and see these incredibly talented actors bring these characters to life!
