If Jesus is the Shepherd (John 10; 11), how can He also be the Lamb? (John 1: 29) If Jesus is the King (Revelation 19: 16), how can He also be the servant? (Philippians 2: 7) If Jesus is the root of David, how can He also be his offspring? (Revelation 22: 6) We can agree Jesus was both father in creator of all things, and son the redeemer of humanity, AND the holy spirit pouring out in the hearts of believers. The command Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," The fulfilment of the command Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." No one in scripture was baptized in the titles Father, son, and Holy Spirit but only in the name of those titles, Jesus Christ. The command is to be obeyed not repeated. There's one God who's manifested Himself in various forms. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given (sacrificed); And the government (authority) will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. He always pointed people to the Father because that begotten flesh was temporary. He didn't want anyone depending on his human nature, for he'd return to his natural state spirit.
