Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggests American @washingtonpost journalist @heidi_levine is lying about being assaulted and kicked by Israeli settlers. He said “footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual.” “The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence.” “We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.” Levine told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah. Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village of Abu Falah, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks. 🔗 Follow Drop Site on X to keep up with live updates

Comment STEW to get the recipe straight to your inbox! First recipe on my brand-new Substack newsletter, SHEKAMOO is Fesenjoon! Shekamoo (she-ka-moo) has been my nickname in Zoya’s family for years. It’s a Persian term of endearment for someone who is obsessed with food. I wear it like a badge of honor. I’m getting back in the kitchen to bring you more recipes (not all Persian but tbh mostly because that’s what we eat in this house) along with life happenings & musings- & let me tell you…this week, LIFE IS HAPPENING! All the juicy IVF details included. #persianrecipes #persianfood #cooking #easyrecipes #fesenjoon
SERIOUS CONCERN FOR INJURED WOLF CUB WANDERING ALONE IN BANFF NATIONAL PARK, CANADA I’m extremely concerned about reports of an injured young wolf wandering alone near Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Alberta. The cub has reportedly been spotted multiple times, apparently limping, separated from its pack and showing unusually little fear of humans. This could indicate exhaustion, hunger or illness. Without the protection of his pack, this young wolf faces serious dangers, including attacks from rival wolf packs, passing vehicles, encounters with humans and other predators such as bears. Being injured makes him even more vulnerable. Parks Canada has reportedly been alerted, yet as far as I’m aware, no intervention has taken place. I fully understand that wolves are wild animals and intervention isn’t always appropriate, but surely this cub deserves an urgent welfare assessment before it’s too late? I’M URGING THE AUTHORITIES TO PLEASE CHECK ON THIS YOUNG WOLF BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. REPORT SIGHTINGS: Alberta Fish & Wildlife: 1-800-642-3800 Please don’t approach or feed the wolf. Report sightings directly to wildlife authorities. #wolf #wolfcub #banff #canada #wildlifeconservation
