Here’s what you missed at Beverly’s Angels this October.
Grant Spotlight:
@unitedwayofcollierandthekeys + Publix Team Up to Help a Local Family in Need. A brand-new refrigerator, nonperishables from St. Matthew’s House and a $500 Publix gift card gave a mom caring for her husband through stage 4 cancer and raising three children one less thing to worry about. Our United Way grant helps make it possible for Beverly’s Angels to respond in real time when families need us most.
Volunteer Highlight: Floridian Homes. Thanks to a referral from our friends
@kurtzhomesnaples, Floridian Homes helped transform our new training center. Within days of expanding our space, their team got to work creating a space that has already earned one response from nearly everyone who walks through the doors: “Wow.”
Upcoming Events:
Dear Santa Shopper’s Open House - October 27
Benny Ball - December 3
Board Spotlight: Board VP Aimee Cheesborough Named to Gulfshore Business’ 40 Under 40. Aimee has played an integral role in developing our Hero Kits, helping select items designed to create connection between officers and children during difficult moments. As Aimee says, “The goal was simple: provide comfort, build trust and let those children know someone cares.”
Business Highlight:
@azulcosmeticsurgery Joined us for a Packing with Purpose Party! Together, they packed brand-new socks, pajamas and underwear for our Dear Santa Program. We’re grateful for their year-round support as Blue Heart Society members and their continued commitment to Hero Kits.
