Life doesn’t pause for grief. Birthdays still come, banners still need making, and you show up for both. If you’re walking with a loved one through a hard season while still making room to celebrate the people you love, I see you. I’m there too.

My daughter turned 10 this weekend, and she said something that stuck with me: how strange it is that a day can be sad and happy at the same time. Without trying, she summed up life.

The Lord gives and takes away. There is a time to mourn and a time to celebrate, and sometimes they come on the same day. Make room for both, and lean on your village. Some of ours showed up to celebrate last minute and on a school night, and I’m so grateful.
