‌ مدیریت مجموعه ورزشی کشوری تهران با انتشار اطلاعیه‌ای اعلام کرد که از اول آبان ۱۴۰۵، زنان عضو این مجموعه تنها مجاز به استفاده از سالن سرپوشیده دوومیدانی خواهند بود. تصمیمی که عملا به حذف زنان از پیست روباز و تفکیک جنسیتی فضای دوومیدانی ورزشگاه کشوری منجر می‌شود. مدیریت مجموعه در این اطلاعیه تاکید کرده است که از تاریخ اعلام‌شده، زنان عضو مجموعه برای فعالیت‌های ورزشی خود «صرفا و منحصرا» از سالن سرپوشیده پیست دوومیدانی استفاده خواهند کرد. این تصمیم با اعتراض ورزشکاران مرد و زن دونده روبرو شده است و بسیاری با انتشار استوری‌های اعتراضی در اینستاگرام، از حضور در این ورزشگاه برای انجام تمرینات خود به دلیل تفکیک جنسیتی سرباز زدند. این تصمیم در حالی اتخاذ شده که پیست ورزشگاه کشوری پیش‌تر نیز با مشکلات زیرساختی و کمبود امکانات رفاهی روبه‌رو بوده است. ورزشکاران از جمله به نبود رختکن مناسب برای تعویض لباس اعتراض کرده بودند. مشکلی که با وجود اهمیت آن برای استفاده روزمره از مجموعه، همچنان یکی از دغدغه‌های ورزشکاران بوده است.
