What we know today as the Azalea Festival Street Fair began much more simply as a sidewalk art show. 🎨
Each year, the Queen would even take part in a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the event.
This 1978 drawing was created to promote the art show, though the artist behind it remains unknown. Another little piece of Festival history, preserved. 🤗
