The photograph is the whole campaign. A Black man sits quietly in a chair at an El-Sayed event, says nothing, disrupts nothing, and gets ejected on the candidate’s orders anyway. No shouting, no sign, no confrontation. Just a voter the campaign decided it did not want in the room. The video shows staff moving in while the man sits there wondering what rule he broke. The rule, apparently, was being the wrong kind of audience.

El-Sayed polls near ninety percent among Black voters, and his campaign treats that support like an inheritance rather than a trust. The same machine that begs for Black votes in Detroit will throw a Black voter out of its own event for sitting quietly while white activists nod along. That is not outreach. That is ownership. A candidate who cannot tolerate one silent Black man in his own room has no business asking Black Michigan to hand him six years in the Senate.

Rogers has spent this race making the opposite pitch: investment in Black-owned businesses, apprenticeships, a Detroit office, and a coalition that actually shows up and listens. El-Sayed answers with security guards. Michigan’s Black voters have carried the Democratic Party for generations and been repaid with lectures and ejections. On Tuesday, they can walk past the velvet rope and vote for the man who leaves the chair open.

If you told 2016 Cassie, who had just quit her job at GoodLife to start her own business, that 10 years later she’d see ALL DAY FIT across a building in downtown Toronto… would she believe you?

Honestly? Yeah. I think she would.

That being said, All Day Fit has become more special than I could have imagined.

I didn’t know I’d sign a 10-year commercial lease, build a gym from the ground up, or create a space hundreds of people would call their training home.

But I knew I wanted to change the way people experience fitness. How they feel about their bodies, their health, and what they’re capable of.

I wanted coaching to be personal, education to matter, relationships to come first, and people to feel like they belong.

The last decade has been full of risks, long days, hard conversations, doubt, and more learning curves than I can count.

From GoodLife, to St. Andrew’s Park, the top floor of Cali Love and lululemon, Cardio Go, Training Lane… and now, OFFICIALLY OUR OWN SPACE.

Each space, each coach who joined us, and each person who trusted us with their health helped shape All Day Fit.

For 9 years, we built a business, a reputation, a team, and a community without ever having our name on a building.

Now, in year 10, that name is across the windows of our very own space in downtown Toronto. 🥹

It’s surreal because none of this happened overnight. It happened one client, one session, one relationship, and one leap of faith at a time.

And while having our own space is a HUGE milestone, the thing I’m most proud of isn’t the building.

It’s what we built that made the building possible.

The people. The relationships. The standard of coaching. The genuine care for one another.

To everyone who’s been part of this journey, whether you trained with us in a park 10 years ago or just walked through our doors, THANK YOU.

We built something worth putting our name on long before we had a building to put it on. 💗💚
